Hoops for Haiti brings a message of hope and love through basketball. We use basketball as a bridge to go beyond hoops with the objective of encouraging economic and educational sustainability.Since November of 2009, we have been working with basketball programs throughout the United States and Canada to collect used basketball gear. It is our goal to collect enough gear to equip the youth attending the camps with the things they need to play basketball—basketball shoes, basketballs and uniforms. If you are willing, or if you know of an organization that is willing, to donate equipment, please contact me or send it directly to Hoops for Haiti at the address below. Thank you, in advance, for your generous support.As part of our trip to Haiti in May, Hoops for Haiti will be shooting video for a documentary film. With a working title of “Beyond Hoops for Haiti,” we will be looking to show the impact that “a message of hope and love through basketball” can have on the lives of the young people of Haiti.
