Hope Homes Foundation, Inc. is a private, charitable organization established in 1971. Our mission is to develop and provide housing and programs to persons with developmental disabilities and other special needs.The story of Hope Homes began in 1963, when a widowed mother of an adult son with developmental disabilities spoke with her pastor and asked, "What will happen to my son when I am no longer around to take care of him?"The faith community heard her pleas and recognized the need she shared with many other parents and caregivers. They accepted the challenge to establish and support a housing ministry to those among us living with disabilities. Since 1966, the United Church of Christ, Ohio Conference, and the Presbyterian Church (USA), Synod of the Covenant, have recognized Hope Homes as their mission to the intellectually challenged.
