Hope in Motion is a youth-led movement implementing change through service in communities locally and globally. The work of this initiative reveals how many people in our community, and in communities around the world, really are in need. Through these interactions—teens interacting with people "different" than them—stigmas and stereotypes begin to break down. Hope in Motion projects include participation in the King County Adopt-a-Road program, partnerships/service activities with local organizations, donut deliveries to the homeless, assembly/distribution of care packages, Hope in Motion bookshelves at local food banks, international work, community events, and the Stories of Hope series. To date, Hope in Motion has empowered more than 100 teens to become leaders through various local and global service projects. We've collected and donated over 18,000 pounds of clothing and books, delivered over 3,200 Krispy Kreme doughnuts and hundreds of care packages to the homeless, and partnered with The Literary Crusade to provide hundreds of books to be donated to UNICEF's work.
