Hope Through Healing Hands (HTHH) is a nonprofit 501(c)3 whose mission is to promote improved quality of life for citizens and communities around the world using health as a currency for peace.Through the prism of health diplomacy, we envision a world where all individuals can obtain access to health care information, services, and support for the opportunity at a fuller life. Specifically, we seek sustainability through health care service and training.This includes efforts for maternal, newborn & child health; healthy timing and spacing of pregnancies; clean water; extreme poverty; emergency relief; and global disease such as HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria. Our programs include: Frist Global Health LeadersAround the world there is a severe health workforce shortage, especially in Africa. We sponsor young health professionals, to travel to underserved areas to help fill the health care gap with service for rural clinics and training for community health workers.Faith-based Coalition for Healthy Mothers and Children WorldwideLaunched in 2013 with support from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, this coalition seeks to galvanize faith-based leaders and their constituencies around the issues of maternal, newborn, and child health (MNCH) with a special emphasis on healthy timing and spacing of pregnancies (HTSP). Our work includes promoting awareness, education, and advocacy for these critical issues. If we can keep mothers and children healthy, we can help to combat extreme poverty, keep girls and children in schools, promote gender equality, and improve maternal and child health.Tennessee Global Health CoalitionWe proudly lead a robust network of over 75 organizations within TN that do work around the issues of global health and have come together to take leadership in the fight against global disease and extreme poverty around the world.
