Hopwood Counseling & Consulting, LLC has a three-prong focus of services:1) Consultation with mental health and medical professionals to increase sensitivity and responsiveness in work with gender diverse people. Consultation for mental health professionals on incorporating spirituality into clinical practice. Consultation and collaboration on research and publications.2) Education for mental health and medical professionals, interns, students, institutions, clinical practices, and other organizations. This work may include academic lectures, seminars, conferences, single day events regionally, nationally, and internationally. 3) Counseling for adults struggling with gender and sexual identity issues, gender affirmation processes and referrals, spirituality and religious concerns, men's issues and impact of social roles of masculinity. I provide weekly, long-term, psychodynamic talk therapy that requires active engagement, an ability to tolerate internal examination, and commitment to self-exploration and growth.
