Although the Horizon name is new, the company has a rich heritage. It was created out of the integration of experts in renewables and a specialist EPC company partner of Enel Green Power. Horizon operates at a scale and depth that is appropriate for the future development of the world's fastest growing form of electricity generation. Renewable energy is no longer "alternative energy" but is one of the alternatives just like hydro, coal, oil, gas and nuclear. Horizon provides a consulting service that matches the aspirations and demands of this new industry. Horizon has expert teams working on all aspects of renewable energy; it boasts the most specialized dedicated team of energy experts comprises mechanical, electrical, civil, enviromental, geo technical & computer engineers. We also offer support for operators through performance optimisation, detailed inspections and forecasting. Horizon has acted as technical advisor on solar and wind energy financing. We also collaborate to the University of Enna to the study and development of innovative renewable technologies. In the 2014 Horizon has started the development of a 10 MW pipeline in Sicily using a new patented Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) technology. Our reason for existing is to harness our skills & experience to develop projects with strong value propositions for our clients that utilize sustainable energy in order to conserve our natural resources and preserve the environment while promoting socio-economic development.
