The company was established in 1986 at Welsh Mill in the market town of Frome in Somerset, this was home for the first five years. Hornbeam Ivy started life manufacturing soap dispensers and grew quickly as demand increased for its innovative products. As the company expanded so did the equipment with new machine tooling and a powder coating plant. The company moved to its Braeside Works facility in Frome in 1991. This was an altogether larger site, which allowed for additional equipment and futher expansion. CNC machine tooling and a plating plant were added and in 1995 (pictured right). Hornbeam Ivy began to evolve with the introduction of new product types in the late 1990's and early 2000's. Own brand products in both the bathroom (Hollys of Bath) and kitchen sector (Steam Valve Original) has enabled the company to showcase its designs and skills, resulting in a number of collaborations with some of the largest companies in the Kitchen and Bathroom industry. As a result the company has again seen the need to expand with the purchase of the new premises at Whitworth Road in Frome, now the company's head office. Hornbeam Ivy is now a diverse manufacturing company with product portfolios in three distinct areas of the kitchen and bathroom industry. The Company is an ambitious and dedicated design led manufacturer and prides itself on its ability to provide British Manufacturing to an international market.
