Fashion-tech startup, House of Anesi, are disrupting the lingerie industry with their revolutionary new engineering-informed bra design, built around core values of inclusivity, comfort, and adaptability.Stephania Stefanakou, Jacob John and Leen Al-Taher, first met in February 2015, at the Reengineering Fashioncompetition at Ryerson University's Sandbox. Challenged to create an innovative and disruptive product, theydecided to create a bra that would adapt to a woman's breast size changes and be 10 times more comfortable. They ended up winning the competition, and not long afterward, made the decision to bring a bra that actuallyadapts to women's bodies to market; House of Anesi was born.Fast-forward to 2018, and against a backdrop of a continual strive for gender equality, there is a sense of urgency building in this market space. For too long, substandard bras have failed to meet women's needs. Worrying about ‘spilling out', ‘wardrobe malfunctions', or tender boobies due to hormones, are all challenges uniquely faced by women. House of Anesi has tackled these issues head on with their unique bra design, with the belief that every woman has the right to start her day brimming with confidence.Back pain, redraw shoulders, boob sweat, and painful underwire marks? Frankly, women deserve better, and the current lingerie industry isn't catering for true comfort or empowerment. House of Anesi is disrupting the lingerie industry with their new tech-informed bra design, built around the values of inclusivity, comfort, and adaptability. Using engineering and tech, the Anesi team have created a bra that actually takes care of the female body, and treats breasts, not as objects to push up, minimize, and contort, but with the respect that they deserve. The Anesi bra (Anesi means comfort in Greek) employs cooling gel straps, a metal-free underwire, and elastically differentiated fabric that stays snug during body changes, to create the world's first truly ‘smart' bra.
