Houston Paralegal Association Details
Since its inception in 1999, Houston Paralegal Association (HPA) has been innovative and at the forefront of the paralegal profession. It was the brain-child of a small group of experienced and certified paralegals who wanted a professional association that was member-driven and dedicated to providing low-cost continuing legal education and networking opportunities. HPA was the first Houston-area paralegal association to offer free CLE luncheons, the first to utilize the ABA-preferred term "paralegal" over "legal assistant" and, the first Houston paralegal association to become affiliated with a national paralegal organization (NALA). HPA strives to provide quality CLE opportunities for its members and our Annual Spring CLE Seminar is now a must-attend event for Houston paralegals. Today, HPA is the leading professional association for paralegals and is an integral partner in the greater Houston-area legal community, working to promote the standards and advancement of the paralegal professionals.
