Design - New York, New York, United States
Founded in October 2011, How Very Dare is the culminating force of three Brooklyn creatives, who after working together in the fashion industry, decided to explore the endless possibilities of the digital print textile world. The concept was to create digitally printed garments whilst staying tethered to an accessible price tag. The rest is history. Each original How Very Dare print takes days if not weeks to create, layout, color- correct, and piece together. It is then meticulously engineered to produce a stunning, photo-real result that is both beautiful and flattering. The prints are the outcome of photographic images taken and manipulated by the designers themselves. A cross-country road trip and the amazing scenic valleys of Utah inspired their first collection, entitled "Dead as a Desert". Complex photos of desert landscapes, plant life, and reptiles captivate their debut line, the perfect dialogue for a Spring/Summer collection. In contrast to the intricate imagery, How Very Dare cuts the photo-real chaos with their signature nod to simplicity, a basic black and white stripe, subtly incorporated into each and every print. Every garment is cut and sewn in Brooklyn, NY. Every print is original, every neck label is handsewn with love and laughter and most importantly, every moment spent creating How Very Dare is fun.
