A 501c3 Global Humanitarian Aid AgencyTwenty-five years ago God called the Maynard Family to begin serving Him through various short-term mission projects around the world. In 2004, God called Mark Maynard out of the corporate world, and into the mission field. To better manage the mission and ministry, an independent agency had to be established. On January 1, 2008, howFar Ministries, Inc., and The How Far Foundation, Inc. were created. That same year, the foundation was recognized by the United States Treasury as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit public charity.Today, Mark and Renee Maynard lead howFar with the help of a dedicated Board of Directors and God-called indigenous pastors. They both work in the church and business world. howFar is composed of two organizations created to obey the Lord's commands given to us in Matthew 22: - howFar Ministries focuses on evangelism and discipleship empowered by the gospel message. (Romans 1:16). This facilitates church planting in partnership with indigenous church leaders. Since 1992, we have had the tremendous privilege of seeing God raise up thirty-two new church plants located in Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi and Democratic Republic of the Congo. Our focus is on least-reached people groups as identified by the Joshua Project. Currently, we work with the semi-nomadic Maasai of Eastern Africa and Batwa Pygmies in the Congo River Basin. - The How Far Foundation exists to raise funds and to provide humanitarian aid within the villages where churches have been planted. Our water, medical, food, women's, orphans, and education projects help improve the quality of life for those who cannot help themselves. (Matthew 25:34-40; Matthew 22:39).-Media Presence-www.howFar.orgwww.howFarintheCongo.comFacebook @ HowFar Foundation - 501c3 Global Humanitarian Aid -Mark & Renee MaynardMark can be contacted at mark@howFar.org or 678.296.8108
