Hoyle Bottom Spirits Ltd is bringing its flagship product, Tinker Brook Gin, to market as an homage to the Cotton Industry and Mill workers of the 18th, 19th and early 20th centuries.Founded on the site of Hoyle Bottom Mill, the name holds significant status locally as being one of the earliest constructed mills and was in continuous operation for over 150 years. In its early days, before the dawn of the steam engine, the mill was powered by a magnificent 30ft waterwheel. The water that turned the wheel was none other than Tinker Brook.Hoyle Bottom Spirits Ltd have chosen to bring this legacy back to life by not only naming a Gin after Tinker Brook, but also by using the water in the crafting of the gin itself.We thoroughly believe this is our own way of opening a new chapter on a story that is so often overlooked and offer it as our way of a thank you to all that were at the forefront of the Industrial Revolution, which led to the discovery of new distillations of exotic flavours and spices. Without these pioneers, gin as we know and love today would be an altogether different experience.
