Hult Prize @Ritsumeikan APU is a localized version of Hult Prize, the world's largest student competition for the creation of new social businesses. Founded by Ahmad Ashkar in 2009, and in partnership with the United Nations, the Hult Prize Foundation is a start-up accelerator for budding young social entrepreneurs emerging from universities around the world. The aim of the Hult Prize is to breed the next wave of social entrepreneurs and launch enterprises that can radically change the world.The winner of Hult Prize Global Final will be awarded USD1 million in seed capital to launch their idea as a social enterprise.Winning teams of APU campus will bypass 50,000+ applications and fast track their idea through one of fifteen regional final rounds of competition all over the world. The program allows more students to compete around the world, leading to more ideas and ultimately more start-ups, each poised for radical impact.
