The Humanitarian Training Initiative (HTI) aims to increase the preparedness and effectiveness of humanitarian aid workers in disaster situations by providing accessible, affordable, high-quality online training courses. HTI works collaboratively to leverage the expertise and ideas of partners and the humanitarian sector as a whole to provide maximum accessibility and usability for humanitarian aid workers around the globe and to promote best practices and recognised standards for performance in humanitarian action. HTI leverages state-of-the-art technology to enable humanitarians to access training and support anytime, anywhere - even in the most challenging situations and will develop an online community of humanitarian workers to encourage the sustainability of the initiative and share field learning and experience.HTI's online eLearning program, The Foundations of Humanitarian Action, will provide existing and aspiring humanitarian field workers with the essential tool kit to enhance their disaster response capacity and dovetail into the existing humanitarian response system.
