Husky Homestead is owned and operated by four-time Iditarod Champion, Jeff King. During the summer months, we welcome guests from all over the world to our Homestead. Our guests enjoy a warm welcome and experience a true Alaskan lifestyle. They even get to cuddle a puppy upon arrival! We share with them our love of our dogs and explain the Alaskan Husky breed. Guests also get to see summer training in action and hear stories from the trail from Jeff or another Iditarod Race veteran. In the winter months, our focus switches to training and racing our huskies. This is a very fun and exciting part of our year! We have a wonderful winter crew of handlers and spent many, many hours on the backs of dog sleds training. We hire for seasonal summer positions, which generally last from May through September. We look for outgoing, professional, honest, team players with a positive attitude.
