Real Estate at a CrossroadsOur humble origins emerged when we took a big step back and wondered why the real estate paradigm hasn"t changed much over the decades despite the emergence of the Internet.The Internet has allowed home buyers and sellers to do more of the legwork themselves, thereby decreasing their dependence on Real Estate Agents. Yet, Realtors have continued to make the same percentage of each transaction. If "time is money", then what can Agents "give" to compensate for their decreased work?The Internet has also given consumers more choice in deciding who and how they want to work with a Real Estate professional. If "more information yields better decisions", then how can prospective home buyers and sellers select an Agent in a more holistic way?Likewise, the Internet should allow Agents to more easily find prospective clients or advertise their services. Yet, Realtors still spend a significant portion of their time scouting for clients. If "time-savings leads to higher productivity", then how can Agents more effectively secure clients?Simply put, there hasn't been a platform that connects these buyers and sellers to Real Estate Agents.As entrepreneurs, we felt we can use our collective experience in real estate and marketing to bring prospective buyers/sellers and Agents together who are willing to operate in a more dynamic, fair-value way.
