Hyperlokal was formed from the realisation that hidden beneath the surface of big brand chains and online platforms, we are surrounded by so much more choice and quality products. Microbusiness in the form of Pop Ups and food trucks were the initial driver but the pandemic changed everything. As the lockdowns began to bite the consensus formed that the High St was finished, and only the big platforms such as Amazon and big chains would survive. We disagree.Our vision is to create vibrant hyper-local communities of people, small independent retailers and service providers. To achieve this, our mission is to empower independent businesses to thrive in a digital world; connecting them to their communities and providing the tools to compete against those big chains and online platforms.
