I-Kimata supplies light fixtures that contain a unique reflector technology to UK customers. The manufacturing process is a trade secret that others have tried to copy but never successfully replicated. The reflectors are manufactured to precise tolerances that accurately reflect light back down to the floor that would otherwise be lost to the ceiling — its that simple. Our customers think the resulting products are amongst the simplest, easiest to install, most cost effective and future proof energy saving solutions available today anywhere. We believe our customers are right. Our customers have achieved 30%-70% lighting energy savings by removing light tubes that are no longer necessary once the reflector is installed. The reflectors in a whole building can be installed a matter of hours without having to close the shop, office or warehouse. Because there are fewer light tubes after installation there are savings achieved from fewer tubes to maintain and replace. For any building with existing fluorescent light tubes this is arguably the single biggest opportunity to reduce energy costs, reduce carbon footprint and, if desired, simultaneously improve lighting quality. Furthermore, if LED technology becomes cost effective, the reflectors are compatible and can be re-used to deliver the same savings. Companies like Walmart, Safeway, DHL and Heineken have installed our products across Europe and the USA. To them the investment case is quite frankly a 'No-Brainer' So far the UK is behind Europe and the USA in adopting this technology.
