Founded by NYC-based dj/producer Scribe in the Summer of 2009, with a Dream Team of resident romantics, Wax Poetics, Halcyon, Raw Fusion, Great Weekend, and Fusicology present this monthly all-vinyl oasis on 4th Saturdays, at the Gallery Bar at Le Poisson Rouge. I Love Vinyl: On the B-Side is a Brooklyn extension of the franchise which began with a huge blowout at Brooklyn Bowl in the Spring of 2010, and moves to Southpaw in 2011. All-stars The Twilite Tone, Ge-Ology, Amir, Scribe, OP! and Jon Oliver comprise the Dream Team. The sounds are mind-wide, foot-friendly, and snap crackle popping. Anything is fair game, but you will probably hear some soul, disco, dilla, boogie, hustle, hip-hop, old-school house, no wave, new jack swing, dancefloor jazz, latin, funk, electro, and afrobeat. No pretentious bullshit, no dress code, no commercial radio nonsense, and no laptops allowed.
