We are committed to eliminating the adversity caused by autoimmune arthritis by raising global awareness, providing wellness alternatives and sharing resources that will improve the quality of life for those affected by these diseases.IAAM is the 1st nonprofit in history to exclusively benefit autoimmune arthritis*. Based on our current research, there is no such "official classification" designating diseases as "autoimmune arthritis". It is, however, a term mostly coined by the arthritis community mainly to differentiate these diseases from common, degenerative types of arthritis. Because IAAM strives to create a small community of those affected with like-illnesses, and due to the lack of any scientific classification standards, we have developed a punch list of criteria we have used to designate a true "Autoimmune Arthritis". IAAM worked with a panel of Rheumatologists to determine the criteria for classifying the Autoimmune Arthritis diseases. The panel has confirmed that, medically, there is no official classification of diseases and acknowledges that IAAM is a leader in creating a Movement to brand the name and bring awareness to the differences.
