An international network of women working in television, film, radio and web-based journalism. IAWRT is a global organisation formed by professional women working in electronic and allied media with a mission to strengthen initiatives towards ensuring women's views and values are an integral part of programming and to advance the impact of women in media.IAWRT collaborates with media organisations, organises conferences, implements media projects and undertakes research and media productions. It is in consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).OUR VISIONGender equity in the employment of women media professionals and the development of media output which enhances gender diversity in society.OUR EVENTSRegional and international conferences which provide forums for networking, and improving cultural understanding. these events include the screening or presentation of media programs, as well as the exchange of professional and technical knowledge and strategies to implement gender diversity in media outlets.
