At the Instituto de Investigación en Biomedicina de Buenos Aires (IBioBA, CONICET - Partner Institute of the Max Planck Society) we work to strenghten the development of biomedicine and put this knowledge at the service of society.We are the only partner institute of the Max Planck Society in Latin America and we focus on the study of the molecular and cellular mechanisms that underlie in the physiological and pathological processes that take place in different systems.At IBioBA - CONICET - MPSP18 researchers and more than 60 interns, undergraduate and technical students work in molecular modeling and bioinformatics, neuroscience, neuronal plasticity and molecular targeting.We are part of the CONICET and the Max Planck Society, both of which are world-leading research organizations. Academic excellence and creativity converge in our institute: we seek innovative approaches to answer scientific questions that can contribute to the improvement of the quality of life of the society.
