Welcome to ICAN Seniors Association, a non-profit to celebrates seniority through learning and play.The group was initially set up to help new immigrant seniors cope with English challenges in daily life. In-person training was then offered while their adult kids downloaded sessions onto mobile devices.The convenience of learning English anytime, anywhere quickly brought popularity. By the end of 2018, over 380 seniors had joined the group online. Then the organizers reached out to community partners for spaces to use for presentations and activities. Seniors' support has expanded to Technology Training, Cooking Classes, and Physical Activities, the first two being Tai Chi and Walking Groups. This year free tax return preparation services were provided to mandarin speaking seniors. Wonderfully, over 100 volunteers have joined ICANSA to support all our activities.
