Mission Statement The mission of La Luz Del Mundo Family Services is to provide supportive services that will strengthen families, children and individuals throughout the life cycle within the context of their unique needs and traditions. La misión de La Luz del Mundo Servicios a la Familia es proporcionar servicios de apoyo que va a fortalecer a las familias, niños y personas de todo el ciclo de vida dentro del contexto de sus necesidades y tradiciones. Q: What is the I Can Change Program ? I Can Change (ICC) is a Batterers Intervention Program that works with men and women who have committed or exhibit violent, abusive, or controlling behavior in their marriage or intimate partner relationships and want to put an end to that behavior. The goal of ICC is to help participants learn to eliminate violent, abusive and controlling behaviors from their relationships; consequently contributing to ending the cycle of domestic violence. In our groups, participants learn alternative, healthy, non-abusive ways to deal with their emotions. The ICC staff is trained in Trauma Informed Care (TIC)and Motivational Interviewing(MI). Q: How often do the programs start ? The I Can Change program is rolling group. Other services have different starting dates. Check the calendar for the program dates and times.
