The warm bathing lagoon surrounds the buildings and is partially adjacent to them. Thus it connects the facilities and strengthens the experience of bathing in the lukewarm, healthy water. The lagoon will be man-made, formed with a special earth-cloth but nevertheless its appearance will be natural with layered banks and basalt columns and all sorts of allusions to ancient natural pools like e.g. Snorralaug (Snorri‘s Pool) in Reykholt. In the bath house there will be a pool from which it will be possible to swim out into the lagoon. The lagoon flows easily in the surrounding area, in some places as narrow straits opening into differently sized pools, nowhere deeper than 1.50 meters. There will be bridges, bowls, islands and caves with water of different temperatures, waterfalls and water springs. The banks will be natural, made of stone and with growing grass, in different elevations, the lower ones ideal as sandy beaches which will turn out as pleasant for sunbathing and make access easier. The higher banks will provide shelter from wind. The guests will choose the spot in the lagoon depending on circumstances, sights, wind and weather. Next to the bath house is a great water world playground for children of all ages. In the bath house and on its veranda beverages and food will be served. All the surroundings of the bath house and the lagoon will be heated with hot water pipes under the natural surface, walkways and verandas. All the premises will be specially formed so as to give shelter when the wind blows. The main aim is to create an atmosphere of natural and mystical phenomena. Plants, natural lighting, darkness, light and shadows, electric lights and steam rising from the warm water will create a memorable sight to behold and a magically magnificent impact from dwelling at this lovely place.
