Founded in Kenya and the USA in 2019, ICFO is a continuation of the work that ICFO's founder Wambui Munene has been doing in the last 5 years - working with social impact organizations to provide Accounting and CFO services. ICFO has a renewed and bigger mission. We are working with young, smart and tech savvy professionals in Kenya, who have been unable to utilize their skills due to the high unemployment rate that stands at 18% within their age group. This has made them engage in exploitative unethical practices such as online gambling and 'essay mills' to make a living. CFO provides a platform for these youth to earn a living by engaging in ethical work. In the long term, this will have a spiral effect as they will help their communities and improve living standards in the country.
