ICG Recruitment started its commercial life in Christchurch, New Zealand in late 2005 as Icon Consulting Group, and over the years it became known as "ICG". Born out of a desire to fill a gap in the market place, ICG's mission statement was to create an independent service that would meet the recruitment demands of both clients and candidates. The company's philosophy has always revolved around being a ‘boutique agency in a sea of big fish', and it's this mindset that has set them apart from the rest. The original byline "it's all about attitude" remains the companies mantra to this day, and acts as a constant reminder of the high standards they set for themselves. Many employees are now recognizing that the right attitude can often mean more than simply possessing the best skills, and that a forward thinking and open minded recruitment process is required to select the perfect candidate. Being boutique has allowed the company to react to the ever changing economic climate in which we live, and in 2009 the directors have expanded with an office in Brisbane to expand on the recruitment solutions they were already offering their Australian and New Zealand clients and candidates. Throughout the successes they have already achieved they have made managing their growth and maintaining their core values a priority, enabling them to retain their boutique feel while constantly adapting and refining their services. By keeping true to the original concepts that began with Icon they believe their company will continue to grow and prosper, primarily through the development of long lasting, effective, and mutually rewarding professional relationships.
