Icon Cancer Foundation Details
Icon Cancer Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation and is the largest provider of cancer-related trials to the private sector. Our work includes cancer research - we conduct trials across both haematology (blood and bone marrow) and oncology (cancer) settings. Through clinical trials we aim to provide more Australians with access to new approved treatments. A portion of our trials are sponsored by the pharmaceutical industry while others are driven by Icon Cancer Foundation doctors and nurses. Our fundraising aims to improve patient outcomes by supporting patients before, during and after their treatment. This includes supporting patients to participate in trials that they may not have otherwise been able to. Support during trials includes access to cancer care coordinators, a dedicated resource for information and care throughout the clinical trial processes, and allied health services such as psychology or physiotherapy.
