Idahoans for a Fair Wage is a political non-profit operating in the state of Idaho, with the purpose of crafting & qualifying labor policy petitions through the state initiative process. We know well by now that the State Legislature is unlikely to fight for workers anytime soon so the heavy lifting is up to us; the people.The initiative process is the direct democracy fail-safe in our system which allows individual citizens to pass legislation but qualifying petitions for the ballot box is no small task and we find ourselves standing against state representatives who are hostile toward the concerns of workers. We are building a broad coalition of Idahoans who support working-class issues and are ready to do the difficult work of balancing out our democratic capitalist system that for too long has left too many behind.
