ELDF's mission is to protect forests, empower people, and implement projects related to environmental issues, livelihood development, humanitarian assistance, climate change mitigation, adaptation, and resilience, and disaster risk reduction efforts through partnerships with international institutions, foreign government aid agencies, academic institutions, national government agencies, and other donors.ELDF facilitates public-private partnerships that develop environmentally resilient communities in rural areas in the Philippines. The Foundation encourages local participation and ownership for projects that promote better natural resources management and that reduce risks and vulnerability from natural and climate-related disasters. ELDF is actively looking to support activities that protect the natural environment, uplift the human condition, and ensure long-term resilience and adaptive capacity for rural communities in the Philippines.
