The company builds on Stichting IDH Sustainable Trade Initiative's vast knowledge and expertise in value chain development and with a strong team of investment professionals, works towards contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals.IDH Investment Management manages the EUR 100 million IDH Farmfit Fund, which is the world's largest public-private impact fund targeted to invest sustainably in innovative business models, that improve the livelihoods of smallholder farmers. The Fund de-risks investments into smallholder value chains and is supported by a second loss guarantee facility from USAID (up to USD 250 million), which provides a significant element of reassurance for investors that co-invest with the Fund. As a result, it catalyses commercial investors to invest into smallholders and other actors in the value chain. The Farmfit Fund completes Stichting IDH Sustainable Trade Initiative's offer to support companies make the most of their smallholder farming engagement and operates alongside IDH Farmfit Business Support and IDH Farmfit Intelligence. IDH Farmfit Business Support works with prospective investors to develop sustainable business models and concessional financing, while IDH Farmfit Intelligence provides access to robust data sets.
