Stavanger Sport Council represent all of the sports team in Stavanger. We consist of 9 boardmembers and 3,5 persons in the administrationOur mission is to:- strenghten the sports role and framework in the local community- Make priorities on behalf of the sports clubs and teams- Document and highlight the scope of sports in the community and develop local sportspolitical action plans- Act as a meeting and development space between the public and volunteersOur task is to:- Offer advice and guidance for the sport and county- Work to ensure all sports have adequate facilities, training opportunities and finance - Participate in the planning process of sporting facilities- Distribute public grants- Social responsibility beyond primary tasks – use sports as a tool to counteract community problems.
