Idée Casamance realises interventions to support ecological development and the environment in the Casamance region in Southern Senegal. IDEE Casamance was founded 1st of April 1998 in Ziguinchor byMamoudou Fofana, Adama Sonko, Vaque Ndiaye and John Lucas Eichelsheim. Since August 2019, Michael Kirchesch and his wife Fahizah took over from the first generation as president and executive secretary. The are supported by John Lucas Eichelsheim as vice-president still.IDEE Casamance is registered as a non profit organisation.
