IEEE Student Branches provide an opportunity for IEEE Student members tobegin networking in their areas of interest and future profession. There areover 3,000 Student Branches in over 100 countries.Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Department of Electricaland Electronics Engineering jointly took a decision to open a student branchin Green University of Bangladesh. Since November 2016, we organizeddifferent programs for recruiting IEEE student member. Students wereencouraged and 34 students was registered from EEE and CSE department.Every student member had to pay 27 USD for IEEE student membership.Our faculties also completed their registration for IEEE Membership withpaying of 82 USD.We applied for opening IEEE Student Branch in Green University ofBangladesh and got approval from IEEE on 17 May, 2017. It was pleasurefor all of us that we are in International networking for betterment of ourstudents as well as university.
