IEEE is the world's largest professional association dedicated to advancing technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity. IEEE and its members inspire a global community through IEEE's highly cited publications, conferences, technology standards, and professional and educational activities.The IEEE student Branch of SIMAT was formed on 19th March 2015 Even though it was an initiatory event, the students displayed their full energy and organizing capabilities. From then, there has been no looking back we have been very active and vibrant till this date. The Student Branch was started with 18 student members. The number of student members joining in IEEE is being increased. Now the Student Branch has more than 50 enthusiastic members on board. The objective of starting IEEE Student branch was to create awareness about the technological developments. IEEE SIMAT SB constantly and actively work to advance technical skills of the members to ensure these skills benefits the humanity. IEEE SIMAT has Women In Engineering Affinity Group to advance the skills of women engineers and to help them achieve heights. IEEE SIMAT SB belongs to the Kerala Section and Malabar Hub and also one of the most active SBs in the Section
