International Fund of Alternative Investments (IFAI) is the first specialized hedge fund that represents alternative management of Russian origin. The fund has been operating in most developed markets of the world for over 10 years and in CIS markets for over 14 years now.From the first day of our professional activity, i.e. since 1995, we have contrasted ourselves with "traditional management". We have never been pleased with how carelessly they risk clients' money and finally lose it. Together with the Russian market, we have weathered the Asian crisis of 1997, the default and collapse of the market of 1998, as well as the 2008 crisis.Since then we have set ourselves a goal to focus solely on the most conservative stock market transactions – arbitrage trading.Like any business area, stock exchange accommodates both, aggressive and the most conservative players. We claim ourselves to be the most conservative ones. Our first and main business goal is preservation of capital under management. The second priority is stable capital gain at the level exceeding the deposit rate (20 to 30% annually). The keystone of our success is the professional team of trading managers, mathematicians and programmers, as well as IT systems enabling us to simultaneously operate at multiple stock exchanges and in hundreds of instruments across major financial centers worldwide.We are not trying to foresee where the market is moving, that's impossible.
