iFarm develops an innovative technology to grow natural salads, berries and vegetables year-round in fully controlled automated environment. It is a single engineering platform for food cultivation. The company was set up in June 2017 and launched its first urban greenhouses and vertical farms in the same year. iFarm was founded by a team of entrepreneurs: Alexander Lystovsky, Maxim Chizhov, and Konstantin Ulyanov. The technology has industrial level of a quick-assembly constructor and is aimed for installation of new objects. It has a set of unified suppliers - seeds, fertilizers and electronics. Each object is connected to a unified cloud growing control system and a unified distributed order system. The technology behind the project’s vertical farms and year-round greenhouses was created by iFarm. Aimed at small and medium enterprises, iFarm makes it possible to get urban crop production running quickly via easy-to-use plug-and-play modules. Growing recipes can be downloaded from a centralised database, making it possible to grow goods at the press of a button, without having to study agriculture. The modules also include seeds, fertilizers, and electronics, all optimized for an urban environment, and require significantly less electricity, water, and fertilizer than conventional greenhouse methods.
