IFoA Foundation Details
The IFoA Foundation is a grant giving charity and aims to promote, advance and further its charitable purposes, which will support financially and otherwise the encouragement, and advancement of education, research and study in actuarial science and related subjects.The overarching mission of the Foundation is ‘actuaries supporting others'. The Foundation strategy is in line with the IFoA strategy and ensures that the Foundation's activities provides a balance between UK and international members. The Foundation also focuses on fairness, diversity and inclusion through its work and is passionate about increasing the diversity of the IFoA and the actuarial profession, both through membership support and research projects.The three-pillar principles of the Foundation are:1. Rewarding excellence - Providing recognition, prizes and awards for excellence in actuarial examinations and academic research;2. Supporting our community - Giving bursaries and grants to school and university students, those studying the actuarial examinations and others in financial hardship;3. Addressing future challenges - Supporting the IFoA's public interest responsibilities and partnering with other charities on financial education.Registered Scottish Charity SC049518.
