The Istituto di Genomica Applicata (IGA) is an international centre of research in genetics and genomics of living organisms .Our mission is to explore and exploit the genetic variation underlying the phenotypic diversity occurring in nature, and to make our achievements available to the scientific community and to society.The scientific research at the IGA relies on a number of disciplines ranging from genetics to structural genomics, molecular biology and computational biology. The Association provides scientists with logistic support and fund raising, and actively promotes the transfer of the outcome to society.
