We are cross-disciplinary student group from Lund University participating in iGEM, the world championships in synthetic biology. The competition offers the participants invaluable experience by allowing them to take part in every step of the research process. Supervised by working professionals within their respective fields, the students select a problem to tackle and begin the research journey to materialize their concept. The competition culminates in late October at the Giant Jamboree in Boston, Massachusetts, where all the teams present their ideas to fellow competitors. The event will also offer the opportunity to participate in workshops, social networking activities for professional and academic development.
