The International Institute for Restorative Practices in Bethlehem,Pennsylvania, is a unique institution that is geared towards providingrestorative solutions in human behavior and the global community.The philosophy of restorative practices is that people are more motivatedto make positive changes in their lives when people in authoritativepositions work exclusively with them as opposed to talking down to them.The institute’s graduate-level academics emphasize how crucial it is todevelop strong and effective communication and interpersonal skills.Currently, the institute offers two master’s of science degrees: * Restorative Practices and Education * Restorative Practices and Youth CounselingStudents may also opt to earn a Restorative Practices certificate, whichprovides an education in the core curricula of both master’s programs.The institute also offers special events throughout the year, likeintensive four-day professional development seminars and how to applyrestorative procedures to things anxiety and trauma.If you’re unfamiliar if the institute is the right fit for you, theschool allows you to take up to four classes before you even had toregister for admission into a degree program.Students interested in applying must request more information from IIRP’sadmissions department.
