Model United Nations, also known as Model UN or MUN, is the academic simulation of various United Nations Committees. Participants are assigned delegacies of various countries and they roleplay ambassadors to the UN. They must then participate in deliberations upon pressing global issues from the perspective of their assigned country.IIT (BHU) Model United Nations was initiated in 2012. Since then, IITBHU MUN has branched off as an independent event. With an experienced Executive Board and delegates from across the nation - including school and college students – the conference has grown to become one of the best conferences in India.IITBHU MUN is back with its 6th Edition, raising the bar higher than ever. This year, IITBHU MUN will host 7 diverse committees and a newly reformed International Press Cadre. The conference will be held from 1st to 3rd September 2017. IITBHU MUN 2017 is officially recognized by the United Nations Information Center for India and Bhutan. The Secretariat looks forward to hosting all the delegates at Varanasi – an ideal setting for a conference of global standards.
