Growing up on the southern coast of Italy, Giovanni's memories of Mediterranean summers spent lazing by the beach, with a daily stroll to the local gelateria, became the inspiration to recreate that timeless experience in the southern hemisphere.Arriving as a fresh faced 23 year old in sunny Perth, Western Australia, he was determined to bring that same joy to local Australians.Established in 1999, we are a first generation Italian family business. Our passion is gelato. Our commitment from day one was to make the best gelato, and we stand by our promise to deliver an extraordinary product with every batch. We source the best local ingredients, such as fresh milk from the fertile Western Australia southwest region.We often get asked "what is the difference between gelato and ice cream?". The answer lies in the ingredients and the way it's made (we use fresh milk and only a little cream). Gelato is churned slowly; delivering that distinct smooth, silky texture. It's all in the time honoured craft. What that means is a greater intensity of flavour - literally a flavour explosion from the first spoonful!Gelato contains a whole lot less fat too. Italians have indulged in their preferred dessert for hundreds of years; they've always known they were onto a good thing.It's our mission to let everyone in on our secret to happiness.
