The Illinois SBDC International Trade Center at SIUE (ITC) provides no-cost export consulting, market research and training solutions for businesses. In 2018, the ITC served over 250 firms that resulted in the generation of over $38 million in global sales.The ITC supports Illinois businesses in the following areas:a) Individualized, no-cost export advising;b) International market analysis to identify the most advantageous trading opportunities;c) Identification of foreign buyers, agents, distributors and joint venture partners; d) Professional training covering international business practices, export compliance, distribution and logistics strategies, methods of payment, as well as the latest exporting trends;e) Incoming and outgoing trade missions, providing opportunities to establish valuable international business contacts and access to prospective customers;f) Export finance assistance in coordination with the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EX-IM Bank) and the Small Business Administration (SBA); g) Access to extensive export trade reference material and international databases.The ITC is funded through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration, the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity and SIUE as a service to the region's entrepreneurial and business communities.As a key member of the Illinois SBDC Network, the International Trade Center delivers these important services to its clients while supporting the goals and objectives of our host institution, SIUE and its School of Business.The Illinois SBDC International Trade Center at SIUE is proud to be your entry point to a vast network of export assistance and small business support, including the Illinois Office of Trade and Investment (OTI).
