Children First, in collaboration with The Teamwork Fine Arts Society, presents the second edition of IMAGINE. IMAGINE is more than an annual event; it is a movement for our children: to bring together parents, teachers, psychologists, counsellors, therapists, medical practitioners and professionals and organisations who work with children to IMAGINE a better world for them. IMAGINE 2018 was an impactful day as we brought a collection of diverse people to share ideas and practices that can make this world emotionally safer for our children and youth. Since then, this conviction has not only grown within us , but also has spread to create an aware and buzzing community. IMAGINE 2019 aims to go one step further and start conversations on social justice and parenting with courage.Parenting with Courage goes the extra mile to define parenting as not confined to the silos of our individual homes but with a ‘call to action' for our society to see all children as equally needing our collective responsibility, especially children who are on the streets, or from underserved backgrounds, in institutionalised homes or part of juvenile programmes. The main speakers at IMAGINE 2019 will be leading professionals from the fields of mental health, education, child welfare, advocacy and disability, and parents from diverse backgrounds. Sessions will involve the sharing of stories, visual narratives, interactive sessions, music, dance, videos, open-mic performances and creative installations so that participants have an unforgettable experience which they can take back to their families, their personal and professional lives.
