Who we are The World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO) is a global network of over 400 organizations and individuals in 71 countries across Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, North America and the Pacific Rim, representing millions of artisans and farmers, most of whom are indigenous people, physically-challenged persons and women. The WFTO is governed by elected global and regional boards to create market access through policy, advocacy, campaigning, marketing and monitoring. Its members are organizations and individuals differentiated by their commitment to eradicate poverty through scalable, sustainable economic enterprise; pioneering social and environmental policy and practice, and continual reinvestment in marginalised artisans, farmers and producer communities in some of the most fragile places on earth. As a network, WFTO is a trusted partner of millions of small-scale artisans, farmers, growers, workers and producers driving Fair Trade through cooperatives, brands and businesses delivering €3.5 billion in Fair Trade sales worldwide. It is a global network whose members represent the whole value chain – from producer to retailer.
