Non-Profit - Greenwich, CT, US
Impact Fairfield County is the premiere women's collective giving circle of Fairfield County. We aim to provide members with the opportunity to engage in local philanthropy on a broader and deeper level than they could as individuals. Each member contributes $1,000 and the funds are pooled in order to make large, transformational grant awards of $100,000 to local non-profits each year in May. Members will determine the grant recipients through a vote of the membership after a rigorous grants review process by volunteer committee members. What makes Impact Fairfield County unique are the various levels of involvement available to its members. Members can serve as a board member or committee chair, join a grants review committee, attend membership programs or simply vote for a grant finalist at the Annual Meeting in May. Members can participate as much or as little as they choose, however, despite the level of involvement each member has one vote for the grant finalists. It is this mix of different levels of involvement that makes Impact Fairfield County a success. To become a member of Impact Fairfield County you must be a woman at least 21 years old and reside in Fairfield County, CT. A membership contribution of $1,000 is due by December 31st to participate in the grants process for grants distributed the following spring. Additional contributions to help support our operating expenses and to enhance our grants are greatly appreciated.Impact Fairfield County is a non-profit 501(c)(3) public charity and all donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
