Launching in March 2016, Impact Hub Austin offers shared workspace, programming and events connecting the Austin community to a global movement for good. What began as a collaborative conversation between the founders of Vuka, Center61 and a group of inspired people has converged into the first Impact Hub in Texas, strategically located in Austin. The global community of Impact Hubs worldwide includes more than 12,000 members across 45 countries. Impact Hub is, first and foremost, deeply rooted in a sense of place and purpose. Each Impact Hub is a local community of participants connected by the shared goal of using business and entrepreneurship as a tool to drive positive change. It's about redefining "business as usual," focusing on how to combine resources in a collaborative environment. For-profit and nonprofit enterprises, entrepreneurs, activists, creatives, and professionals are all welcome to set the standard for Austin's next generation of purpose-based enterprises.The Impact Hub network is a force for the new economy.
