Education Management - London, England, United Kingdom
We are a not-for-profit student-run organisation at Imperial College London that aims to provide science undergraduates with the opportunity to enjoy non-bookwork, competitive mathematics. We have a close affiliation with the Imperial MathSoc and the Department of Mathematics of Imperial. We aim to:- Deliver extracurricular and research-like mathematics experience for undergraduates in the UK.- Promote research mathematics in all fields. Our competition will be accessible for most university mathematicians and physicists, with topics ranging from elementary analysis to linear algebra. The questions will test problem solving abilities, which are key to professional research. Mimicking the Putnam Competition in the States, this competition will provide a good platform for the top UK mathematicians to shine; the group competition will encourage mathematicians to get to know each other through half a day of gruelling contests.
