We are a unique travel company dedicated to bringing music lovers from around the world to visit the musical sites of Europe. Each of our trips is a customized experience that combines visiting the hoes and neighborhoods of the great composers (Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, many others) with attending world-class performances. The cities we visit are Vienna, Salzburg, Prague, Munich, Budapest, and Leipzig. Bonn will be added shortly. Most people sign up for our trips directly from our web site, inmozartsfootsteps.com. These trips usually have between 10 and 20 travelers. Customized trips can be created for alumni associations, listeners to classical radio stations, school groups, and performing ensembles. Our customized trips can be of any size. Dr. David Nelson is the director and personally leads each trip. His background includes three degrees in music (B.M., M.M., Ph.D. from the University of Michigan and Northwestern University), thirty years experience as a tenured, full Professor of Music, author of 2 books on Vienna and one on Salzburg (with a book on Beethoven underway), and leader of more than 30 trips to the musical capitals of Europe. In 2006, the City of Vienna presented David with the "Golden Medal of Honor of the City of Vienna" for this contributions to music in that city. This was the second highest award that Vienna has given to an American; the highest award went to Leonard Bernstein.
